What it says, in our words
The public view of the draft carries the title of clause 6 and the titles of its nine subclauses, not their text. The title places the clause at the centre of the document: it is where each big data characteristic is paired with the threats it brings and the controls that answer them. Eight subclauses carry the characteristic names, and a ninth covers potential threats and controls related to AI and LLMs. This page does not state what those subclauses say.
What it means for an ISMS manager
Build the structure now even though the text is not public, because the structure is what the reader has to fill. Take a grid with eight rows, one per characteristic, and five columns: the threat in our words, the existing control, the gap, the evidence, the owner. The public clause 5.2 supplies a threat statement for each row, so the grid can be started from the text we can read. The ninth subclause is the one to watch. It carries the AI and LLM question, and it is the reason the document will be cited by teams that never read the rest. If your organisation has an AI governance forum, this is the clause for its agenda. When the published text arrives, read the nine subclauses against the grid and mark where the document names a control you do not run, or runs a control the document does not name.
The characteristics this covers
What an auditor samples
- The eight-row grid, with the threat taken from clause 5.2 and the control from the estate.
- The owner named against each row.
- The AI and LLM question recorded with the forum that owns it.
- The reading assignment for the published text, with a date.
Evidence lines are the artefacts an auditor or a reviewer asks to see. They are named here so the work can be planned; they are not a certificate and they do not replace the official text.
Cross-references in the draft
Clause 6 cross-refers to 5.2, 6.1, 6.9, A. Title only. The public view withholds the text of clause 6 and its subclauses.
